Sardinia Holiday Dreams

Our proposals of residence are located in Tortolì (the beach "The gulf" of Orrì) and Porto Frailis in the province of Ogliastra. This is considered one of the most beautiful places in the world. It overlooks from the east coast of Sardinia to the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is a very large area, extending over 1800 square kilometers, consisting of a few coastal plains of moderate height and many mountain ranges. The landscape is divided between white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, rocks overlooking the sea, woods and dry desert plains. The Ogliastra region is a wild and unspoiled landscape, pride of its inhabitants, the object of desire for the tourists. The natural beauty enabled the development of the tourist industry, which has started to build not only the beautiful coastal area but also, equally beautiful and still unknown, the hinterland.
The origin of the name, according to some sources, derives from the olives which are abundant in this area. On the other hand, other more reliable sources attribute it to a huge monolith that rises above the sea north of Santa Maria Navarrese, called "Agugliastra". The coasts of Ogliastra, with their beautiful oases set between sea and rock shrouded in green moss, retained their rugged and wild nature, presenting one of the most beautiful seascapes in the Mediterranean. On foot, by bike, on horseback, by car and off-road, by boat or raft it is possible to tread itineraries to discover unforgettable places.
